A women finds a crisp packet 'golden wonder' from the 60's on the beach, looks a month old. The bbc make it out to be a fun thing. When really it is one of the most serious issues, ocean plastic pollution. no....its fun!!
LAZY_TITLE
other bbc story
A woman throws acid in a mans face, he is so seriously harmed and in pain he ends his own life. The woman gets away with manslaughter and murder. BBC dont seem to worried, maybe because it was a woman harming a man. patriarchy and all that.
LAZY_TITLE
bbc also shows the bottle/chemical you need to do this too,
just in case you fancy a go.
LoL happy thread!

plastic: no mention of the damage and seriousness of the issue and making it out to be a game. like she won a prise.
attack death: showing the bottle chemical , and yes very dispassionate.

the bbc aren't treating the case seriously because they show the container used? presumably you mean because it could incite others to use the same chemical in another attack; your eyes must be better than mine cos i can't tell what's written on there. also, you agree that it's dispassionate reporting as if it's a bad thing; do you not think there's enough hyperbolic condemnation?

usually when i read articles when a man attacks woman its a " disgusting, wicked act, misogynistic hate crime!!" type of affair.
Also these attacks are so common now in London, no mention. But did show the label of the bottle which is quite readable on my monitor.

it was the top result on google for "bbc pacific gyre", it was also 2 months old so maybe that's why the article wasn't in the headlines any more. still, you can't accuse them of ignoring the issue.
i'm glad your eyes are better than mine, bully for you. the whole tone of your post reeks of dumb "men's rights" complaining, and any news article calling a perpetrator "disgusting, wicked, misogynistic" etc is far more guilty of bias than the bbc. i get the feeling you like news only when it agrees with your preconceived views

"bbc pacific gyre" I doubt people are searching that term after reading that fun pollution article.
I didn’t accuse the bbc of ignoring this across their site. but bbc made fun of this serious issue here. And they do ignore allot of important things too.
My my eyes are not necessarily as good as yours, maybe my screen is bigger? Perhaps you have a zoom function you do not know of, yet.
But I doubt you need to know the chemical name anyway, as you are not the type to threaten to kill people any more, are you?

Yes that woman was truly deranged/evil to do what she did, I thought murder was bad enough but this is beyond that to inflict such suffering
yes I read about plastic bags in the pacific abyssal trenches and you realise pollution is surely reaching saturation point, if something doesn't happen the planet will sort us out for us I reckon, like that jar of flies experiment if you destroy your own environment your only destroying yourself

i doubt you're living in fear freqy. any threat to you was immediately countered by the "i jest, i jest" in the post after it and "comin 2 stab u r face off again blud" is hardly a serious death threat. it was more of a nudge-wink reference to our disagreement all those years ago, and for the record you don't have to worry, nobody's getting stabbed. a thicker skin might not go amiss here.
the crisp packet thing is obviously just a puff piece and wouldn't be the starting point for anyone's research into pollution. point is that the info is there and is the top search term for anyone with a passing knowledge of the issue.
you demean women by using "patriarchy and all that" as if it isn't still a problem. i'd wager there have been far more acid attacks by men but this case has garnered more attention simply because it's so unusual

I suppose apart from popular culture and political correctness we still live in a vastly patriarchal society, boardrooms are still stuffed by the old boys network and grey old men. I suppose things are gradually changing, but I get the impression they would relinquish ultimate control without a fight

It is a threat. threatening to stab someone in the face, no matter how you type it. I didn’t see your second post right away. I have minimal memory other than remembering your name and that sick feeling. I have no idea when I even spoke to you prior, i don't know who you are. i didnt expect to have to talk to you 'ever' after that.
"patriarchy and all that". MSM look down on men and that is not right. Not all men are bad. That guy who suffered, deserved more. even though we did not know him.
I think we should know for sure that almost all acid attacks are men attacking women. and it is a serious ongoing daily issue.

I think its the anonymity of the internet that makes us say stuff sometimes that we wouldn't say in real life, perhaps its blowing off steam I guess, I can accept that there will be many disagreements and arguments, that's the spice of life having conversation and debate but sometimes it does seem to resort to a bit of nastiness, I think we have of people with various degrees of mental illness in here, I think with some irony that Belb even though he is in a secure unit often comes across as one of the most stable people on here, apart from the ill advised stabbing thing but im glad to see that he knows that was out of character

(msm) main stream media is one for the most powerful forces that shapes our world like most people do not understand. These were just two random things I clicked on on the bbc site yesterday. it is just a random thread on a very random website called xltronic.
The bbc is a very much loved channel. Most people go to it every day, it is a good reference because millions of people view it. but it has changed dramatically and very gradually over the years. And even when it covers up paedophilia or mass rape or supports Genetic modification of children’s school meals and so on... people still go to it as there rock solid reference. there is no where so well produced to go to that will speak the truth.
To get away from bbc news you have to news surf across many channels and then you start to learn some very worrying things and it is not easy, it requires allot of time and a tough mind.

regarding you sharing your position. I didn’t know you were locked up, I am not very happy about that and hope you can get out some day soon, when you're well.
If i remember correctly I wrote to phobiazero to ask for you to be allowed to stay on xltroniic, as you were banned, or at least people thought you were banned at that time. it was mentioned. so i wrote to him to help.
you say > "and for all your tens of thousands of posts you've never given a name or location."
wow, you have read all those posts to find a name and location? it is no wonder you are not well. thats very creepy.
When you see a book by an author you do not like, it might be a good idea to not pick it up, read it and then get upset and complain. as you will never get well.
"play the victim." You sound more like a victim of your own foolishness to read all those daft posts.
Xlt is a vent for many people. it is not a serious thing all the time.
but that is what makes this place fun.

the courts are run by pieces of shit i blame the politicians and courts for making this happen the black woman should be in prison now for destroying that man's life with her selfish behaviour
the law is an ass in this country nobody can sort things out either there's no justice around here and no solutions on the way
my cousin works in a post office, he got attacked by 5 underage thugs, the police wouldnt do shit even though it was filmed on camera
the kids accused my cousin of selling them cigarettes and the police were more concerned about that
criminals get away with it, the decent people take it up the arse, that's the neo-British way

they were drunk on alcohol/drugs they are like feral humans im not sure if you get the same type around the country but around here they are totally vicious its strange, I think a lot of them have fetal alcohol syndrome, there is a whole generation that had nothing to live for because of economic policies of the tories, no jobs no future and I suppose they just took it out on the world, doesn't give them an excuse but I can definitely see why it happened. In the 80s students in my high school were being wheeled out in bodybags after overdosing on heroin
