Except LED does mean light emitting diode in this instance, the global lopass changes the brightness of the power LED to show whether it's on or not and is not part of any limited edition. |

and the LED filter doesn't effect sampling rate, simply being 1200 does. The AGA chipset in the 1200 allows for higher sample rates, that's it. |

the LED emits the numbers in your sampling rate so if you have a 1200 LED it emits more sample rates therefore it sounds worse... but worse is better in this CONTEXT (a nod to my main man EpicMegatrax) cause it is LO-FI therefore you can sell it for lots of cash on ebay |

well, there you go.... my local context was inconsistant with the global amiga context. as per godel's incompleteness theroem, since i'm inconsistant, i must be complete in any case, i installed milkytracker and promptly set about ricing it out. configured the colors, the resolution, you know. choose resampler, though... that's a doozie. cubic spline? the fuck is that i picked 500 LED because i thot, "oh, it's the limited edition, but it sounds like a Light Emitting Diode, ha ha." also because amiga 500 is cool anyways, i finally got around to messing with these again and it sounded like my trax got an upgrade. the one i was working on sounded better. the sampling rate, yeah... the 500/1200 LED sound lowpassed or something, yeah. the non-LED 500/1200 sound a lot more harsh and tinny. but i'm also making these judgements on sony mdr v6 cans, which are harsh on the hi's. my soundcard is a soundblaster. obviously |
