It’s great, love the first sound you almost don’t quite hear at the very start. Lovely grainy sound, lovely acid line, really enjoyed it! Not sure about the title though! ;)
Marlowe, we’ve had this chat before. Thanks though!

i was less right when i named my album "dorsal nexus" instead of "lateral habenula" but that's okay because the latter is a much uglier name for an album

i've always figured depression has some sort of evolutionary benefit, or it wouldn't be there. animals get depressed. dogs hide away in a dark corner if they're sick... pretty much, if you're stuck in a pit with a broken leg or something, and there's nothing you can do, the best thing is to shut down and conserve your energy on the off-chance that circumstances will spontaneously change in your favor. they almost never do, but every once in a blue moon it rains and the edge of the pit caves in and if you've conserved your energy you can clamber out, reproduce, and pass on depression genes to the next generation.
it can be so hard to get out of bed sometimes. it's the hardest part, really. once i get moving, things generally get better... but, before that, it's all... "oh, nothing ever works, this is unfixable, etc." and that is a continuous spiral that keeps you in a shut-down, low energy state. the irony is, unless you can get out of that on your own, it's usually external pressures changing for the worst that get you out of bed. stressing about money or such until shit gets critical and a landlord is freaking on you and suddenly fear is enough of a kick in the pants to get things moving... but that only adds to the misery, and you wind up back in the pit soon enough. yeah, it's best to drag yourself out of bed. despite knowing this, i don't always make it

I understand what you’re saying.
I’m starting to see it as an energy that spreads, that tricks and feeds off you. The more you comply the more you start to accept the condition, and he harder it seems to escape. Maybe it’s a metaphor but I see it like a twin peaks style dark energy, one that’s been there for a long long time, way before bible times, in which depression is mentioned and ackoweledged.
Then there’s the lifestyle issue, slowly you start that have a very unhealthy lifestyle, and you slowly start hating yourself for it, you feel even more worthless, I tell ya it’s full of tricks. People can become complacent. After a while loss of identity sets in, and paranoia creeps in. I’ve seen friends lose it, and we can’t have a relationship anymore.
I’m lucky because I feel my will and mind help me overcome it, and my darkest period is behind me.
I do find it insulting when people don’t understand why someone successful at what they do, with a happy family life, and plenty of money can still be “infected”. It’s noticeable that it affects a lot of creative people, and thinkers. Like Robin Williams, Ian Curtis...
