can we make a thread about bass? throw your tips. here's a rudiment. i set low range at 80Hz on my bandpass filter and wander at taste from there. rarely get clean bass sound and never took note of the way to it when it happened, but i can say i know its not my headphones that are faulty, its me never being able to do it. why 80Hz? i read it on watmm. |

80hz is about the sweet spot for bandpass but as long as you're not wasting space with below 20hz waves you're fine. generating pure sine wave in a wave editor worked for me cos there's always something else on top for texture, just cutoff where the bass begins in hz terms. i didn't often use anything other than raw or processed .wav samples for bass, so using synths is alien to me |

talking about equalization is fine. d16 lush has some really shit bass patches, the best i got from it was randomly applying a preset bass wave on a pad track for which i had already played the notes for a melody, which had also modulation effects on it which made the simple bass line totally cooler. by chance. |
