yes you mean the guidelines, yes I mean I don't want to
appear antagonistic but I know the work load in the NHS is
massive and communication seems strained between the
different services

you can keep your wisdom to yourself

but then note their minor failures.

or if the failure is large enough ie: a scan is required
but they discharge your mum because she said "well im not
too bad at the moment."

when really she means it varies allot but today was not too
bad.

they love to discharge patients from a simple off the cuff
statement.

stuff like that.

yeah my mum is terrible at that cos she wants to stay out of
hospital at all costs, when she had a stroke 18 months ago
she was in hospital for 4 months and I understand her
reticence but I was saying all this week you need to be in
hospital, your in dire need of medical attention but she was
doing everything in her power to avoid it

last time she went into hospital she contracted shingles
cos of poor hygiene so I understand why she wants to stay
out, I really have a phobia of hospitals as well. Last time
I was at one a woman who had dementia was out of bed and
crying saying don't leave me because she thought I was one
of her relatvies

4 months is a very long time to be in a bed.

yes I mean we visited her every other evening but you could
tell how horrible it is being on a ward of strangers, no
privacy, I think she enjoyed the food though and she had a
pheasant strutting around outside her window which was nice,
but apart from that it was like jail

sometimes you don’t know you’ve broken a bone until you
notice it rattling inside.

other times just a tiny fracture in a delicate place like a
socket is like hell.

yeah I could have broken a finger before when I slammed it
in a door once,
