been this year at all, this time of year nothing is really

movies?

she has an intestinal blockage, her dementia has
deteriorated, shes become incontinent, lots of bad things,
shes really gone down hill over a two week period. The worst
one is the pain she is in for this intestinal thing

Yeah thank god, but he wont take any time off from work next
week, so its up to me to see to her. I think he struggles to
cope with that sort of thing, he was off all last week to
take care of her but he booked that time off before she got
really ill so it was just a coincidence he was there

I should be alright its just dealing with the medical
professionals giving conflicting advice that annoys me,
especially if you made absolutely sure to do everything
according to what is specified, ring the 111 number rather
than emergency, consult with the GP and the person on the
help line who say only ring an ambulance if things get
worse. So when things get worse paramedic turns up in
ambulance and tells us we shouldn't have rung and ambulance
even when my mother is in dire need of medical attention. So
that's what shredded my nerves

keep an a4 diary , get one from the 1pound shop.

keep all documents in the diary

i would also record with your mobile any consultation, in a
bag is best on the floor, so it does not affect the mic.

after each consultation ask what will be documented on the
computer and ask how you can get a copy of the report they
will make.(even if you know how to get a copy) ask anyway or
mention you need it for your brother.

this forces them to work harder and stick more to the rules.

yes had quite a bad dealing with certain doctors when my dad
was dying, a locum doctor basically euthanized him, I know
it sounds like a conspiracy theory but it wasn't it was
blatant

yeah it was rather, but as you might appreciate I didn't
mention it before because its quite emotionally draining,
and not a great topic of conversation, I'm coping quite well
regardless

staple in car park tickets , taxi, bus fare tickets.

at the end of each day write notes on what they talk about
and suggest

notes on what you say about her condition in the interview.

because almost everything you say will not appear in their
report. lost in the air. sometimes very important info.

but if you have a recording and notes to aid you , you can
prove what you have said and what they have said.

Keep everything in the diary. It makes it all easy to see
and if there are any complaints, you are in control.

it would be interesting to get hold of their code of conduct
and any policy .pdfs. see if they are following their
procedures correctly.

for example when i was young and hurt my leg i was limping
and they didn’t even give me a crutch. that is against
their policy/code of conduct.

its fascinating to read some of these .pdf's before and
after consultations.

yes my mum is usually the one who collates information
exactly like you say, I think there was some inquiry into
the manner my dad died but I don't think there was any sort
of apology, they closed ranks she said

if i was worried about conflicting advice from different
doctors i would go on a hospital nhs forum and ask about the
.pdfs these doctors should be following.

it will empower you.
