take a bass wave riff, say tutu tutu tutu tutu tu tutu tu tu (in a minor octave) basically its a just bass wave hit, like a kick drum, and if you have controls on tuning you can recreate reggae bass waves into yout tracks, to make them more hardcore or something |

not sure you get get what i mean, i hate when that happens to me, its actually a rare feature to really understand what the other has to say musically, behind a screen and using different tools, but i threw it out anyway |

Study 10CC's "Bloody Tourists" album. Marvel at the sleeve, which really is a work of art (Hipgnosis, natch) Be disappaointed that first track, "Dreadlock Holiday", is not indiciative of the rest of the material on the album. Question yourself as to why you're so eager to "culturally appropriate" black music. A bit like when RDJ said that, back in the day in Cornwall there were no good record shops and if you wanted to hear Dub, for example, you had to make your own; make your own "reggae". It might not be textbook reggae, but Umbromodub?!??! Put a lot of reverb and echo on everthing. |
