free modular thing. linux-compatible (because i know that
matters to everyone here) but also works on whole foods
(osx) and shaw's (windows)

i just saved my favourite (and only) pair of trousers from
two big stains of oil by putting dishwashing soap upon them
and then rubbing and then back into washing machine again.

the cloud-based system for downloading new modules is
undeniably slick, but it bothers me a tad. just this worry
that if i invest any proper effort i won't be able to open
the project later if the internet is down or if someone
stops maintaining the server it dials home to.

that being said, it's free, and i'm having fun messing
around in it

looks interesting, thanks for the link

Yeah my own internet can be flaky enough sometimes, without
relying on others, still cant complain if its free!

I think that's what we're all secretly hoping will happen to
xlt.

i also had a phase where i thought that if xlt would die, a
part of my brain would die with it as well. i think you'll
be out of this in 5-7 years. i'll spoil the fun for you a
bit and say that eventually if it goes down we're gonna be a
bit more lonely.
