David Bowie, Kate Bush, Yes, Nick Drake, Radiohead, Sunn
0))), Can, Deus (Ideal Crash), joy divison, Jeff Buckley,
Lou Reed, Todd rundgren (well I know one album but it’s
genius), that guy from blur did some ok stuff, etc, not into
solos.

Ok Computer meant a lot to me when it came out. From then on
there’s not an album I dislike wholly. I rem discovering
them with (not creep but) street spirit on MTV. I loved the
melancholy of the track, and secretly fell in love with it.
Bought the album, loved it though it’s a bit too guitar
heavy for me and lacked exactly what ok computer delivered.

I remember being in a train with this girl, coming back from
Amsterdam. The album had just come out and I was proudly
playing it on my cd boom box thing. The carriage was empty,
bar an old lady who said I could play music when I asked.
The controller came and asked me to stop the music. The old
lady interrupted and said something like “ this music is
beautiful and new to me, can we listen to it, there’s only
us?”. Then you have the roots bigging them up in an album
I bought; it sums up how broad the spectrum of fans was at
that point.

You know picking a track is really difficult, but as were on
guitars... I don’t often air guitar, but There There
really hits the spot for that.

cool old lady, yeah i i remember my brother playing ok
computer when it came out and i found it really weird at the
time, but i kind of liked it, I think lucky and the tourist
are the best tracks

I didn't listen to Radiohead for roughly 12 years until I
heard "Prove Yourself" in a dream and then a bit later "Fake
Plastic Trees" in a dream. Then I listened again to all
their albums a lot expect their 2 newest ones.

I had forgotten how talented they are and how unique the
music is. ... I guess it's a bit unfortunate that
alternative music journalists and fans, who tend to have
little knowledge of music outside alternative rock and pop,
over-hyped them as super-complex avant-garde artists, which
they aren't.

at the turn of the millenium i was all about pink floyd,
soft machine, zappa, some german punk bands, santana,
hendrix and bob marley and the woodstock lps. the latter
four stuck to this day and get spins with my gf regularly.
since i showed her the woodstock movie shes heavily into
simon and garfunkel and crosby stills nash & young, quite
nice music :) paul simons graceland and boston are two
albums we play a lot aswell. theyre great in a car too, just
"having a good time music".
since the first guardians of the galaxy soundtrack i digged
into the 60´s 70´s disco, funk, soul classics and made me
a nice folder of about 70 great songs. again great car music
here, but no particular album this time.
all in all nothing unknown for most of you guys i guess.
i dont know whether it qulaifies for guitar music, but
amiina is quite lovely too

My favourite guitarist is the post-punk, avant-garde jazz
classical Vini Reilly and his Durutti Column. Check out
The Return of the Durutti Column or this live version of Jacqueline.

Other than that, the usual suspects that marked my youth I
still more or less listen to TO THIS DAY:
Big Black
Rapeman
Shellac
Bitch Magnet
Squirrel Bait
The Jesus Lizard
Scratch Acid
Happy Flowers
Tad
Mudhoney
Slint
Seam
Galaxie 500
Bongwater
The For Carnation
Butthole Surfers
Pixies
The Breeders
Ultra Vivid Scene
Throwing Muses
Loop
Joy Division
The Smiths
Slowdive
Kitchens of Distinction
American Music Club
New Fast Automatic Daffodils
MY BLOODY VALENTINE

should like, and I like less than half of them half as well
as they deserve.
