i was looking over his 'official' discography at
http://www.theaphextwin.com and i noticed that he has so
many out of print, limited edition, unreleased, exclusive
and different aliases along with the fact that he has been
making music for well over a decade that there is no
possible way for anyone to have heard every single one of
his songs it made me think of this theory:

he releases old stuff as new and remixes old stuff as new to
realease and uses different names to re-release the same
music he made for other aliases.

one more thing; any and everyone with anything RDJ needs to
share with everyone else! he has to be the only artist in
the universe that i must own every possible RDJ anything!

EVOL... agreed on the sharing of stuff...

Is there anything in particular you're finding hard to
get?...hearing that sort of rare AFX stuff is a lot easier
nowadays now we've got MP3's & Soulseek & the like...imagine
what life was like before then...

I bet theres quite a few people on this board who can say
they heard everything he's ever released...like I say, MP3s
make this not soo hard anymore...

it takes the fun out of it when you dl everything i want to
buy it and support him ya kow he deserves it from my
perspective.

yeah, agreed....but there's some stuff that it's impossible
to get unless you are prepared to pay a shitload on
ebay...so MP3 (as long as it's high-quality) is fine for
those; I don't mind supporting the artist but spending
stupid money on ebay doesn't do that...

I'm lucky I guess as I'd just kinda bought stuff as and when
it was released so have built my collection pretty easily &
cheaply; generally I've only paid retail price for most
things (plus a few bargains on ebay/secondhand/record
fairs)...

autechre once admitted that they release music under other
pseudonyms that no one knows of. did rdj ever admit to
doing the same thing? it wouldnt surprise me, if you
consider all the pseudonyms we already know of.

whenever i find anything that isn't on warp or rephlex i
think i've found a diamond in the ruff but nooooo of course
not it's just something that i missed from before and
everyone from that point on carries it.

RDJ is the main producer behind N'Sync, Backstreet Boys, and
Britney, and maybe JayZ too... he hasnt been retired, hes
been getting busy...

actually i think RDJ is pretty lazy... maybe he is a lounge
lizard jazz musician with Tom J in his spare time...

That's one of my fav sites.

BTW your picture gets more explicit each week, what's the
story?

A year long striptease?
Or are you hoping that if you do it gradually, phob'll let
you have an obscene avatar :)

nah, i just pick them at random. There's plenty more on the
way.
And yes i'm working to get obscene content approved for
avatars ;-).
