Jack, a stuffed rabbit. He died in atrocious circumstances.
Cuddly toys were alive to me. I would bring them to life at
least.

I later learnt that my dear mother, when she was cheating on
my dad with her next husband, told me the man was called
Jack. It was a cunning ploy so that if I ever said to my dad
“oh I was with Jack and Mum” it would be alright. Not
sure why my mum was proud to tell me that many years later.
Impressed I was not.

Then not that long ago after Jack left this world I found
what was to be my next comfort blanket: weed.

Mine was hammer, which I have to this day. And even as a
wickle-little toddler I knew that one day I would use to
smash your fat, blotchy fucking face in.

it was ridiculous but all the objects i got attached to were
vegetables in early years. one was a bright yellow tomato i
talked to for a bit was probably only a week though. (and
that was only because i liked cartoons with talking fruit in
it or something like that. i thought a yellow tomato was a
cool one off thing and imagined it had a zippy talkback
attitude. i asked my mom to draw sunglasses on it)
i had 5 cats in the house so i really got on more with them
than any toys.
