kubrick did encode a lot of hidden shit in his films and he only mentioned it when someone would ask him about it and was right in their analysis, such as the letter about sexual undercurrent in dr strangelove. bet there's loads of stuff we'll never know about now because he's not here to say 'yes the shining is about the massacre of native americans'. |

yes I like that Rob Augers interpretations of the film, but as you say Kubrick isn't around to provide solid evidence so its all open to interpretation, but that makes it more fun than having a definitive answer |
