i'm really not talking about anyone individually like i said
i've done the same thing myself and others too it's just
that it might be confusing for other people.

want to make you people snap out of some things if i can

i dont mind that you told EMT to go see a doctor, always
better than encouraging him with his constructions just
because its xlt and you have to play along blindly, without
showing a tad of responsibility and/or understanding of
someone's discomfort. you never know what situation you put
people in. there is well talented people in here who can
make their message through funny words, but im not one of
them.

im glad this argument has finally erupted in here. you look
like a bunch of failed psychologists when you try to
moderate about this. You do make it look like group therapy.

russell let me tell you what you should do when deciding
about something. you should sit on sand or grass either one
will do and raise your arms and invite the decision. you
should say "coooome decision, coooome decision" you'll first
notice that the decision is kinda grumpy and it will be an
asshole and not come for some time but eventually it will
come and it will present itself to you. then you should
accept it gracefully hold it in your arms and never let it
go. and that's how you make a decision my friend.

Hyperflake, mermaidman, mohamed. We have our differences,
but I really believe, for what that counts, that you’re
decent human beings.

For a start, unlike AMPI and tussle, you don’t judge the
masses, or even xltronic. You don’t act like you’re
above everyone else here.

You’re an oddity. One day all kind, the other claiming
this place is sick and full of idiots. Still not sure for
which of the two reasons you come here.

I’d buy you a pint or two, that’s for sure. You don’t

B

I'm always suspicious of A.

Plus I-Ching, my horoscope, my biorhythm chart and even my
lunchtime alphabetti spaghetti on toast all said B, which
then judging by how shit my life is suddenly made me think
I'd be better choosing A. Eventually though I realised at
least i'm not Eamonn Holmes and thought, no B it is. He is a
massive A.

A is gay
B is for glee

It's true because it rhymes.
Gloria Hunniford once told me that.

I like to find signs anywhere I can, not sure if it’s a
sickness. Doesn’t mean I’ll go for the winner. I’m
talking bollocks really; but new threads are always nice.

Should I take path A or path B?

when facing this sort of terribly important question, you
need a good source of randomness. if you don't have quality
randomness, bias will creep into your decision, and you may
actually be responsible for the consequences.

i like this, myself: hotbits [secure server request]
--

People working with computers often sloppily talk about
their system's “random number generator” and the
“random numbers” it produces. But numbers calculated by
a computer through a deterministic process, cannot, by
definition, be random. Given knowledge of the algorithm used
to create the numbers and its internal state, you can
predict all the numbers returned by subsequent calls to the
algorithm, whereas with genuinely random numbers, knowledge
of one number or an arbitrarily long sequence of numbers is
of no use whatsoever in predicting the next number to be
generated.

HotBits is an Internet resource that brings genuine random
numbers, generated by a process fundamentally governed by
the inherent uncertainty in the quantum mechanical laws of
nature, directly to your computer in a variety of forms.
HotBits are generated by timing successive pairs of
radioactive decays detected by a Geiger-Müller tube
interfaced to a computer.

i typically erase "128" and replace it with "1" and click
"get hotbits" and then if the resulting hexadecimal number
is >0x80 then that is "heads" and anything less is "tails"
and this should make things perfectly simple next time you
are in such an A/B situation you're welcome

Split up into 2 persons, then RussellDust1 will take path
A and simultaneously RusselDust2 will take path B. While
that happens *you*, whoever that is, will watch RD1 and RD2
go down their different paths and you will be the bridge
between them.

fourmilab -- the makers of hotbits -- also covers this in
their article Notes toward a General Theory of Paranormal Phenomena

people here posted about being driven by the bird's
singing, i mean. and no, not SingnedUpToLOL's birds.

that was me

t can be a bit confusing sometimes, when I'm discussing
fringe science or esoteric knowledge it can look like ive
got a screw loose, actually thinking about it, its a bit of
a grey area, however ive never believed my teaspoon is
trying to communicate with me in semaphore, so I suppose
there is a line of distinction to be drawn, I think there
is
a dose of mental illness in this forum, but for the most
part people seem pretty with it, which is encouraging,

and it was like hyperflake said there ^

"Next time you have a terribly important question..."

You don't know if the question is terribly important.

And thanks, although I guess I should explain that the
choice I'm facing will be made with a clear mind, after
having thought long and hard, and having thoroughly
evaluated the situation. There will be no heads or tails
etc... I know that when I make the choice it will be because
it's exactly what I want.

But yeah I do spot stuff I interpret as "signs" sometimes,
as if part of the fabric, a highly improbable pattern. But
I've never made a choice that way. I don't bow down to
patterns. I don't use them to organise my life. I like
spotting them.

it ever so clear I like it when I spot a pattern, but it’s
just fun for me. Sorry it drove you mad, but for me it
