Jim Carrey is "enlightened"

Are you enlightened? When did it happen?

I'll definitely check out that documentary on the making of
Man on the Moon that's coming out.

I love that the tabloid media and their TV counterparts are
having a meltdown over it.

Then you have this fascination they have with the idea that
he's lost it, gave his girlfriend an STD, and that she
killed herself (not for that reason I assume) because of
him. That he's "coping". I saw one video where the presenter
was acting like she was "concerned" when it was pure
trashing of his person.

I'm making a thread about Jim Carrey. Shit. Uh, any fave
movie of his?

is he talking about the dissolution of the ego, yes its
sad how predictable the media response is to him saying,
this is all bollocks, like he is mentally ill or something

comment,

I dont like those motivational type things, the cynic in me
is always wary when someone says they can provide the answer
to stuff

I'm with hyperflake. Who the fuck are you to judge?

He's saying some sweet stuff, and that interview at fashion
week was great. Fuck that bitch.

I like those videos you linked, AMPI MAX. You couldn't even
do a TED talk on Tony Blair.

Partly. But Buddha himself mentioned not blindly following a
leader or a movement, and to think for yourself. I think
Carrey is quite capable of that.

I just think it's great, and those saying he's not well, the
tabloids, the unscrupulous mediocre journalists who want
views and clicks, and AMPI MAX, the sanest of us all.

Again, ted talks aren't one thing, like you think xltronic
is. It opens its platform for all sorts of people, some who
don't t agree with one another.

If you just seeing it as a leftie place for Chomsky fans,
then it's clear you don't ever check out stuff there.

Anyway, I don't go there much, but once in a while I will
hear a talk that was touching.

St seeing things as whole entities.

They invite plenty of people from all walks of life. AMPI
just loves to generalise. I think it's comforting for his at
times simple mind.

He's with it enough to have produced the show I'm Dying Up
Here, which started okay but fizzled out - I bailed on
episode seven.

P.S The book upon which it's based is very good.

the dissolution of the ego must be like what happens to pop
stars at concerts when they fall down on the floor in front
of a whole stadium

this post was inspired by Metallica's singer, who fell down
on the floor recently and when asked if everything was ok he
said 'im ok, my ego not so much'
