it might be a bit like the voynich manuscript to them, then one may work out that 'sounds' are different to 'images'. Like, if a hypothetical race of aliens had completely different senses, theoretically they could still extract meaning from things of ours, and vice versa. I think that's p mindblowing. |

yeah id assume they would have some sort of photon detecting organs as electromagnetic radiation is so ubiquitous in every part of the universe, perhaps they might have extra sensitive touch so they could feel the discs information directly |

yes its fun to think about, since the universe is postulated to be of infinite dimensions due to inflation (well at least in some theories) then due to probability there is something that has evolved with similar capabilities as you are describing. Having said that some sort unknown law of physics makes everything evolve in a similar way to us |
