First analogue kick ass drum machines ever esspesialy 808 u
know! jump up
jump around etc.
But the cr-8000 is mostly for chill out stuf
but very smoothy warm and sweet!
all this till you destort it a bit with
a mixer or whatever!
Have fun!!

Sequential circuits, Buchla, Emu Audity, Yeah yeah, if any
of us were rich we could still pickup a lot of these on ebay
or other auction sites

DirtyPriest, the 606 is very 808ish when it comes to kick
and snare. The 606 kick doesn't have as much oomph! as the
808. The 606 is probably the easiest and most newbie
friendly piece of equipment ever made. Too bad it's so
expensive (and semi-rare) these days.

really. got one a few years ago for $150. its not bad but i
get tired of it quick, bass drum is pretty weak, i'm not to
big a fan of the snares and i don't like using the toms to
much. my favorite part of that maching is the hats. they're
awesome. but yes, good piece to learn on. 707 is more fun
for me a though. like that it has got more sounds more
options and midi. get a 707 if you're a starter, cause the
606's only advantage is that its analgue.

you can always make digital sounds sound like analogue later
buy having a mic in front of a monitor or something.
