What about this album? I'll listen it soon... (I've a copy
but I never heard it).

It seems interesting...

I've got it. There's some good stuff on there, especially
Rabbitmoon. I like prog house.

Sasha is class!

C'mon you geeky IDM faggots. Let's 'ave ya!

jonesy > it's kitten moon, not rabbit moon! lol ;)
(one of my other pseudonyms is kitten_moon btw)

Fluke's remix of Hyperballad is delicious!

i listened to this album all the time before i really got
into ae and aphex et al. and when i listened after that, it
sounded a little "lame". but it's not fair comparing these
artists.

it's lush and good and nice and warm.. but they could've
kept those lame lyrics to themselves ('baby's got an
atombomb') doh.

Fluke is my favorite after aphex. Risotto contributed to
this enormously.

Amp is one of the best tracks ever, just like Goodnight
Lover.

I thought I was like the only Fluke fan on this board =)

urb > the lyrics are absurd and/or childish, but i think
this is voluntary... :)

i love all the tracks, my fav maybe being reeferundrum

this is the closest thing to underworld I have ever heard,
which is a good thing,

I came into them pretty early in my electronic music life as
well, showed me that just cause music was deep and emotional
didn't mewan it had to have no kick, I later got "oto" and
now that is my favourite, absolutely fucking beautiful.

Risotto was my first electronic album ever. Listened to it
religiously too. Fluke was my favorite band for several
years.. got all their albums and even a few vinyls. All
their stuff is good.. but in my opinion their first and last
albums were the best (Techno Rose of Blighty and Risotto,
respectively). The stuff in between is classic but got
kinda dull. Still, I think they're the best when it comes
to non-IDM electronic music.

hmm, that's cool

so check out risotto?
Any links to websites or more info?

PHX is gettin' a lot of airplay on winamp right now

years after...

still sounding as good as ever. i tend to get "bored" of
most albums with time, or at least less enthusiastic, but
this one doesn't seem to. definitely a good album.

first album.

mike tournier had an offshoot group called syntax, who did a
couple of great singles about 3 years ago.

Underworld i get a bit nervous.

Six Wheels On My Wagon... it's not their first actually,
they did release another one before that called The Techno
Rose Of Blighty. (but it's cheesy and not as good as their
later stuff)

yeah, fluke arent bad. i own risotto and about 4
compilations of theirs - Atom Bomb and JKitten Moon on
Risotto do it for me. a band worth looking into
(i know, its nasty scary house techno, not IDM!)

fluke certainly spiced up Wipeout (which one? the second
maybe?), but the album Atom Bomb isn't something I'd listen
too often. Don't think I've heard Risotto.
