Anything football related. I've noticed a few of us here
enjoy the game.

Chelsea just sold Matic. Conte didn't favour him much, but I
like(d) him.

I think City have a good chance of winning it this season.

Man Utd are starting to look scary on paper. Matic will mean
Pogba will be more offensive.

grunting.

Yawn.

Inter won the International champions cup, and it'll be the
only fucking thing we'll win this year

man utd need another solid winger/backup striker, and
they'll be set to get back into the top 3 this year. Gareth
Bale would be perfect, Perisic could be good too

it'll be interesting to see where lukaku, rooney and morata
come on the goalscorer charts this year

In the last three seasons his stats have slowly gone down
each year. His stats last year were lower than Felaini's.
All of them.

Man Utd fans never gave a fuck about him but now they think
he's amazing, possibly because he scored an absolute blaster
in the FA cup last season,

I guess Conte really rates Bakayoko. We'll see.

offline Hyperflake from Wirral (United Kingdom) on 2017-08-01 16:30 [#02526631]

yes perhaps he is on the decline physically, I suppose
everyone ages at different rates. I'm not sure how relying
completely on stats helps, but perhaps it is vitally
important, if he is in decline 40 million is a very good
deal,

offline RussellDust on 2017-08-01 16:39 [#02526632]
Points: 15925 Status: Lurker

Once in a while he really sticks out, but I preferred when
Chelsea played Kante and Fabregas in midfield. The new guy
seems to be a mix of Matic, Kante, and Fabregas.

So, Neymar... 200 million quid, and 780 000 quid of wages a
week!

Jeez....

Dusty

he gets 400 million over 5 years, near 1/2 a billion.

and that’s not including adverts like watch ads and
cornflakes contracts.

i read

"
His £782,000-a-week wages mean PSG's total outlay is
£400m.
"

maybe that meant all the players fees?

oh well

but still a few anthrax toilet paper and durex paint
adverts

a few appearances at corporate AGM's

he'll be a billionare.

leave it in the bank and live off the interest.

The folly of man, that's a stupid amount, surely what he was
on was enough that any financial incentive from that moment
on had diminishing returns

It's fucking nuts, but none of us should be surprised.

But yeah, the increase from Pogba is massive to say the
least.

Don't really care about the player, and I'm not a fan of the
two Spanish giants. The man though seems to be out there for
the money. Even though he begs to differ.

With George Best doing tinned spaghetti, and tampon adverts,
it was different. It was new ground being tested and he and
his team admitted to making mistakes.

With neymar, I've seen him do so much advertising its
stupid. I understand Nike and Adidas are the norm, either
one or the other. But yoghurt?

Seriously I can't rem really but I saw a documentary about
him and at one point the showed the current adverts he was
involved in and it was shameful. Anything and everything.
There was one, for milk or cutlery or something, where he
was dressed as a the cliché baby. That I'll remember.

What's a bit mad to come to terms with is that he is clearly
not the best player in the world. Monetary demands have now
reached a new level.

I wonder at what stage money stops making an appreciable
difference to your life, what is he doing with it? buying a
Bentley everyweek, I don't understand the mentality, perhaps
its an ego thing, I bet he wont be satisfied at PSG for long

They will breeze their league, like they usually do (not
this year I think), but will they ever win the Champions
League?

Clearly why the owners are spending the money.

Aren't you a bit fed up with the Barca and Real domination?

It was actually nice to see Monaco do something in France
this year.
