Are you happy?
Are you fulfilled?
Don't you feel like this is all a bit of a dream?

When we dream we make a story, we render characters, their tone of voice, the words they say, the light ray tracing off their face. the room lighting and ray tracing, even music never heard before. so real we don't wake up.
Aren’t we supposed to be saving energy when we sleep : ?

We can actually save and restore energy just by resting, we don't need to sleep. It's puzzling scientist why a mammal would have these periods when it's in such a fragile state.
The idea they have now is that we need to sleep to manage, store, and delete memory. So sleeping is more of a memory thing than an actual energy thing.

dreams use the discount renderer. everything looks perfect, so long as you stand in the right spot. as soon as you don't, it's goulash. usually one moves from that spot upon waking up

I once dreamt I was on a massive cargo ship that was rapidly sinking near a beach somewhere in the states. I dreamt it from about 4 or 5 different perspectives. I was swimming as fast as I could away from the sinking vessel that was trying to suck me in with it. I was a press person in a helicopter flying above the area. I was on the ship for its last moments, was part of a band of onlookers positioned on the nearby beach, and finally I was a part of the rescue team. All in quick succession, I would then find myself changing between these perspectives what seemed like every few minutes.
It was dark, it was hell. It was a great dream though, one where I really felt I was there.

stand in one spot, get one perspective. stand in another spot, and the different coordinates yield a different perspective.

That's kind of true when you're not dreaming as well, Tracks.
