what do you recommend? best CDs? or different styles
between them? :)

GO Plastic for his best album
Big Loada for his most spastic
Hard Normal daddy for a bit of a jazz-rock flavoured
breakbeat splatter
Music is Rotted One Second for some Miles davis flavoured
semi-improv
Burnin 'n tree for a bit of everything of the above, his
early carefree, unselfconscious tracks

Get Hard Normal Daddy. His most accessible and IMO
his best work (in fact, i'm listening to it right now)
Feed Me Weird Things is also excelent.

i prefer "Feed me weird things"

Go Plastic is the new one, i think you should start with the
first albums and go up to the newer ones...

Selection Sixteen, Burnign'n Tree are also good to start up
and enjoy his music.

AlbertoBalsalm > i'm not looking for something especially
accessible... (:

acid and fat controller are nice..

perhaps they are right, one of the reasons I like Go Plastic
so much is because it builds and expands on previous works
of his. As for Feed me, for me that album (his first, BTW)
is weaker than HND, BL, MIROS or GP, but suit yourself.

HND was my starting point, I thought it was incredibly smart
to mix such wild drum edits and jazz rock stuff. But I
definitely prefer BL and GP today.

I can't get enaugh of squarepusher. I'm building up my
collection. I have 5 cd's of his. I need Burnign'n Tree,
Maximum Priest EP, Budakhan Mindphone, Selection Sixteen, Go
Plastic and Music Is Rotted One Note (which I'm getting
next)

windcale is a great track, those distorted kinda jazz drums
sound like they are from a car chase

for what it's worth, my opinion is that selection 16,
maximum priest and budokan mindphone are half successful
experiments with some of the tracks being boring filler

map: i know! i recently downloaded all of the stuff i
mentioned above (except for Rotted One Note) and it's all
great stuff! I love squarepusher, and it only gets better
with the new 'Untitled' song =)

map, I'd say selection 16 has some of his best tracks but
also some of his worst, not a good all rounder, get em off
soul seek!

Budakhan Mindphone is good to buy for 'Iambic 5 Poetry'
alone. the other tracks are good, but are weak compared to
the opening track (one of square's best ever songs)

Yup, I've got that on Xen Cuts, its very good, I like the
way the vocals are done. I read an interview with tom
somewhere and he said he didn't like ninja tune's stuff
that's why he didn't sign with them (though he said they are
nice guys)
