2 dead grafix cards later..

one blew up at Christmas and other one was DOA

third ones a charm

just spent this evening putting in fiddly motherboard
headers and a spare terabyte drive for my music projects and
its working more or less,

been ages since I did anything hardware wise on a pc

Zx Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amiga 500, Macs. Never owned a PC
since I think, and have always been a console person.

rainbow islands on the amiga is wicked :-)

funny you should mention cheetah, my mother lives near their
old office building. it's kind of funny they were selling
those ms6 synths and sx16 samplers right in the same place
where i grew up. i have a an ms6 but it's fucking broke and
the repairman said it'll be expensive to repair.

other games i like on amiga are micromachines, elf, another
world

my 3/110 ran solaris. people still use solaris, for some
reason. this guy on #qt or #gnome-hackers -- or something --
he was all, "yeah, i'm trying to compile on solaris, here,
because i want to have a good music player on my solaris
box." as i recall, no one was able to answer his question.
even stranger, no one asked why he was still using solaris

irix was rad.

nicknamed the finished product LOL memory, for Little Old
