yes it sounds impatient, but think of all the years we
didn't hear anything, from tuss to syro was several years

another release as tuss would be too good. i still wouldn't
believe it after release.

also was about 4/5 years between drukqs and analord stuff,
so I know there have been long years of nowt happening in
between, I know its a bit greedy to ask for more after such
a bountiful time with soundcloud and the store bonus tracks,
but yeah feels like I can never get enough,

13 years between Drukqs and Syro.

no more tuss pls at that density it took repeat plays for
repeat hours for repeat days to repeat for months i think i
listen to that album numerous times a day for those first
few years and still do. still goosebumps sseeing the tuss
ep/lp in upcoming on the old rephlex dot com page.

honestly satisfised beyond intent with tuss there really is
nothing more to chase after bout good as it can get from all
aspect

yes we were weeping into our pillows at night, "why has the
lord forsaken us" 13 years wandering in a desolate wasteland
of mediocre music

there could be a tuss track we haven't heard that would make
your head exploded like the guy in scanners, perhaps its
dangerous for him to release it

offline elusive from detroit (United States) on 2017-07-31 17:50 [#02526510]

well it would take a good5+ year or so to even be able to
judge it on that level of basis

i8m usualy cautious is a track makes me head explode right
away. the good ones usually devleop and hold over long
period of time passing anyway. if something is really whoa
upn first listen it's typically quick flame-out (caveats
apply)

yes that's really true what your saying, something (as
clichéd as it sounds) reveals hidden depths

I knew it, I knew it, that was driving me mad for a bit. I
was thinking it's not Black Dog, it's not B12, but it sort
of is... It's Earthfall (Nuron Mix) by Phenomyna (who was on B12's own label as
Static, though here on A.R.T, and remixed by both tBd and
B12...)

obsessive searching, it's such a release. :)

I used to play this all the time. It's a bit scary when you
doubt yourself and think "am I fucking making this
up...?
"

Which is, of course, as we all know, the best sort of
sound there is
.

As I played this on YouTube up next came another classic,
Shinichi Atobe - The red line, which I recommend.

can you ask afx a question for me? "what's the story behind
naks acid? why is it in mono?"

i sort of know the answer but i wonder what he'll say about
it hehe
because im sure i used to talk to him on soulseek when he
was making analord but i didnt know it was afx. he
recommended nakamichi tape decks to me. when naks acid came
out i was like wtf ,must have been afx then he stopped
talking to me

offline umbroman3 from United Kingdom on 2017-08-03 21:04 [#02527046]

coz naks is the name of a website naks.com that he
recommended to me
he also said to get 3 head decks were good

hehe ,i have a nakamichi 1000 now in the attic though, it's
the best one to get :-) bought it from a helicopter pilot
instructor for £100

no i was obsessed with mono
when ceephax did a set on radio i recorded it to mono
back then there was only 1 chatroom on soulseek and ppl were
pissed off wiht me for recording to mono
i used to bang on about mono all the time
sort of inspired by this essay by vincent gallo (who is a
fucking cock actually)
http://www.drowninginbrown.com/dib_sp.htm

ebay,no a british helicopter pilot, he had a nakamichi 1000
and a 600 for sale, both setup at his school on the airfield

yes i really like mono sound, cos i mostly listen with
headphones, panning can be good but i often find it gimmicky

coz at that time (2002-2004) all the music was being made on
laptops
breakcore was massive
everything was vst
you would get dissed bad for using any sort of hardware
it used to piss me off badly, i used to rant and rave about
it on soulseek and forums, pissed off a lot of people
venetian snares threatened to kill me hehe

nah i was a prick to his friend pale steve all the time,
sort of how russell dust was being to mohamed, winding him up
and stuff

i think it mattered at the time
someone had to take things analogue
afx was the master and he led the way

now it doesnt matter, everything's all good
variety is the spice of life
