the most recent addition to my collection was mimi (sorry
about missing out on you then, crazone)

i've bragged about my whole collection before, so will
refrain from naming more atm. i'm pretty confident my
collection has the highest combined post count

what is the parlance of the moment for the music people like
on here, computer techno is what i call it in my mind,
sometimes brain dance, i dont know where IDM was first
coined but it seems like a american term.

yes its right, but when you type in electronic music into
google for some reason you get photogaphs of people with bad
hair cuts wearing extremely pointy shoes

actually you get extremely generic photos of the back of a
DJ's head with his hands in the air

I honestly, and without any arrogance, call it music.
Sometimes I will add 'electronic' if I need to explain what
kind of music I make after being quizzed as to what
instrument I play, or if I'm asked "what kind of music does
the Aphex twin do?"

Sometimes people I meet need to feel comforted by genre
definition. Boxing. It can be useful, but ultimately it's
all just music.

Poor girl!

I know Vlari and Dave, but we never got to meet up.

I've met descent a few times, she came to visit twice.
Signeduptolol showed up at my hotel once. An Ibis, his
favorite. Vi_vi_vimto has visited a few times, he gave up on
this place. Chihiro is visiting next weekend!

I miss Jivver...

Showed up at your hotel invited - I wasn't lurking.

I miss Jivver, just before I came into this thread I
honestly was digging out my LFO and Bell-related records.
Such a good bloke.

Chillin'.

mohamed - I guess that's what it was-- I thought you were in
Egypt, but you were in Australia or something like that.
Aaaaanyway.....

Who knows how many xlt or watmm or braindance or phorum or
ninja tune or warp comm or whatever electronic music forum
members we've seen on a city street, but we never knew it
was them cuz they didn't have a huge avatar instead of a
head. We did a braindance forum group meetup in London like
~6 years ago, and it was pretty good. What was weird was
not referring to people by their board names.
