i'm torn between trying to be constructive vs. adding fuel to the fire, so this post will probably be a mix of both. when he showed up, i was not finding myself eager to interact with him. god knows how many people feel the same about me, though (especially back when i was drinking), so how can i fault him for that? besides, this is xltronic -- the only baraindance board that's more or less left me be as i post all sorts of weird shit -- and who am i top stop him, or suggest he change? so i sat his rants out; this worked fine enough. until, one day, he covered a song from jazz jackrabbit 2 in fruity loops or something, and because of my avatar, it was utterly impossible to him that i not find it amazing and shower him with attention and suck his dick for ten minutes. first and foremost, my avatar is from the jazz jackrabbit 1. i was not a fan of 2 at all. second, i tried to be kind anyways, because there was a sort of innocence to it: look what i did! it felt cruel to not try and reply. but this meant interacting with him, and it didn't go well. i failed to meet his minimum threshold of towering praise and he flipped out and now he probably hates me forever. which is a shame, because it's not like i hated his remix. it stayed on my playlist and i danced to it a couple times when it came by and if i hated it i would have just deleted it. i didn't delete it |

Something we've all been guilty of here from time to time. I really don't have a problem though. Xlt is really interesting right now. Not many people, and bar the Mohamed and Hyperflake bromance, really love each other here, but I do feel there's a kind of respect going on, even if it's not always friendly. So many posters do my head in beyond belief, but I always come back. One day this place will go, and it will be really weird going online for a while and losing the habit of checking zilty.
