warp 1 equals the speed of light
while warp 10 means infinite speed, with an exponential curve in between.

without getting into the superbly complexicated rules of arithmatic, i've more or less decided that anything divided by zero is zero. i know this is wrong and i know why it's wrong, but it does satisfy my subjective sense of what numbers should be: divide by two? separate into two piles. divide by one? one pile. divide by zero? zero piles. this new form of arithmatic has obvious medical applications

unless it was warp 10 and the wind screen wasn’t attached well enough, so it falls inward and the captain jumps a nano second too early, providing just enough traction to propel him/her or it into the screen at ferocious rate.
so you were right, as there are likely infinite variations on this predicament happening right now within the multi-verse.

imagine if your having a piss and they decided to engage warp speed and the warp coils are misaligned, there would be zero g piss all over 10 forward

not if the captain is taking a leak in a ROTjedi catapult urinal and we use Spock and Data to calculate the exact time to fling the captain at the windscreen thereby phase cancelling out all energy between the warp drive and the catapults influence on the captains body and weee inertia.
The result? A splendid wee. A splendid day for all,i beleive. yes, yes it was and will be.

*or is that: phase cancelling out all energy between the warp drive and the captains body and weee inertia relative to the catapults influence on said individual and fluids emissions, resulting in perfect acceleration and trajectory of all matter on their way to warp 10?

Trans-warp drive
allows for the jump from stationary to maximum warp speed in a far shorter period of time. with less mess around the toilet seat. The transition is quicker and smoother.
hence the excelsior crew were not to worried about catching the enterprise in The Search for Spock.

yes i thought there would be something like inertia damping that stopped picard's tea scalding his lap .
also yeah the writers; when its convenient break their own logic rules to make the story interesting, like that time they had the alien the traveler that took them all to the Triangulum galaxy trans warp speed.

yes bidets hehe. what do they do when they have aliens that poo out of their armpits or piss out of their knees, they never explain that issue, then again its a good job that all the aliens are more or less biped with similar cultures to 20th century earth
