Or have the US Air Bombed killed a lot of people in
friendly fire in the past? Is that twice now in afghanistan?
I can't imagine how infuriating that would be..

Afganistan is responsible for the people killed in friendly
fire....if they had'nt start it......and so on!

Anyway, I'll leave this for others to discuss - I'm so
tired!

I think the army isn't as bad as NASA. We shot the Mars
Polar Lander all over the galaxy and never got a successful
mission out of it!

had manually adjusted something and all it needed was a
washer.

U.S. Defense is Satan, bombing innocent people. Have you
heard the COLCUT sample of the pilot who bombed Hiroshima.
It s very disturbing. He says something like : made the
run let the bomb go that was the most exciting time of my
life. THat s disgusting, i couldnt hurt a dog, i cant even
comprehend being the person resposible for killing thousand
maybe hundreds of thousand of people.

The US is the biggest terrorist the world has known. I just
feel sorry for the people who join because they have little
other chance of employment. I saw this programme recently
where this young black woman had signed up and then realised
what she'd done, really questioning what she was going to be
doing i.e. killing innocent people in the poorest countries
in the world. It was really sad because she had no way out.

yeah its abum deal all round. i just think that this 'war
agaisnt terroism' is such a vague formless 'thing' to be
battling agaisnt. didnt the us recently kill 4 canadian
soldiers and crtically injure 8 more in a carpet bombing
exercise? man i would have loved to have heard bush groval
to the canadian president on the phone.

offline jonesy from Lisboa (Portugal) on 2002-04-19 10:48 [#00184008]
Points: 6650 Status: Lurker

This 'war on terrorism' is just an excuse for the US to do
what it wants. The middle East is so important, for obvious
reasons, and the west want control. Hence the backing for
Israel to massacre Palestinians.

I watched a programme on tv about the supposed faking of the
moon landing (at least the first one) and I must say it had
me believing it, they did actually have some strong
evidence!

Well, I think since america is the most powerful nation in
the world it should use its influence and power at least
responsibly, act as a beacon to other countries to follow
with just reason. Of course the US thinks that now anyway,
but its doing the exact opposite (IMO) =)

offline jonesy from Lisboa (Portugal) on 2002-04-19 12:24 [#00184112]

As long as power is in the hands of government and big
business we'll continue to see wars. Its their drive for
profits and them imposing their will on other countries and
peoples that lead to what we see today.

Capital sees no friends or enemies, when people die for
their country: their country is actually killing them.
Friendly fire is such an ironic thing, but I'm sure the
people developing strategies don't even fool themselves with
this, these are just calculated casulties in an equation
dealing with costs and incomes.

An american officer summed it up nicely in an interview on
the news last night.

He said "This is a war and we're playing with deadly
weapons..."

And that's the problem, they are "playing" with weapons
wheras other Forces are fighting with weapons.

A more carefull and accountable attitude might reduce
further incidents...

Ok get ready...but this may be a little controverisal. My
thoughts on whatever happened on September 11th in New York
City at the world trade center fit the agenda of White World
Power which George Bush is beginning to run and head up.
It's showing up and anchoring up and rousing the people
towards this white washing or red, white, and blue washing.

I think its just another leap at world power and world
domination and it's cloaked under this thing called
terrorism. I think it intends to make a claim that
everybody who is not of the same opinion of the United
States government or those enforcers of that are terrorist,
when in fact the U.S. is the REAL TERRORSISTS.

Archrival, I think it's as much about the elite class as it
is about race. The elite class is not all racist white
folks, just predominantly. As a white person I am not
automatically a part of the power because of my lower-middle
class status and my "anti-American" attitude.

I dont really know who did the bombings.....I dont know if
Osama Bin Laden did it. I just know that out in the world
what I recognize now, is that there is somebody else who
feels the same pain that I felt all of my life livin in
poverty (not now tho, I got a decent job) or my friends in
NY growin up in the projects. Their is somebody else who
feels that there is a war that is being waged against them
and wants to strike back and thats what I think is happening
to the U.S. and Im not surprised by it at all. I think our
response has to be one that calls for real justice because
thats what I think is gonna solve the problem, not
vengeance.
