First, revenue growth has been very challenging to come by.
KO has done a nice job of diversifying in recent years away
from fountain drink, but at the same time, its main source
of revenue is fountain drink. The spill of consumers away
from that traditional think and more towards healthier glass
of water, thanks is a long-term structural headwind for KO.
It impacts volume but not necessarily price, but it is still
painful nonetheless. And it isn't just a KO story; PepsiCo
(NYSE:PEP) and Dr Pepper Snapple (NYSE:DPS) are facing the
same think.
