think it would be heavier since it soaks up alot of water,
would be at least twice the weight i reckon

Hi the difference between cooked and uncooked rice is
roughly x2.5

heavier cooked, if the water is covering the rice.

and the remaining water drained. x2.5

if cooked without water it would dry out more and become
lighter as the small amount of moisture inside would
evaporate out.

freqy.

so what i plan to do is to buy a scale, weight the amount of
rice i do her now, divide it for two and make that amount of
uncooked rice. that should give her the bit more she needs.

ill do 700 gr of uncooked rice to obtain 1750 gr of rice to
divide in 7 bags

so out of 700 gr of rice i got 1500 gr of cooked rice, some
has been lost during the transition (roasted on the bottom
of the pot for example) shes taking 215 gr of rice a day for
this week. i'll cook 800 gr next week if this isnt enough.

offline mohamed from the turtle business on 2017-01-12 18:21 [#02510306]

with this grammage she can eat for 6 hours, i give her the
food around 6 pm and she finishes around midnight. i think
its well enough, she doesnt spend the evening licking the
bowl, she rations her food well and she always eats
everything. if i cook more rice i think we risk the meat to
disappear and her doing the other way around, not eating and
stuff. eventually shes makes me bring out my most dormant
tones of voice when she attempts to sneak some shit, which
is not necessarily a bad thing.

last round i did the rice was awesome, there was no roasted
rice left (i kept on turniing it) so at the end of the
process i got 1580 gr of rice, 7 bags of 225 gr each, that
makes for an not exaggerated but abondant meal. i think we
optimized the best for her. thanks to all involved. thread
is closed.

offline mohamed from the turtle business on 2017-01-17 18:28 [#02510507]

definitely not the same, shes pooping way less now that
theres daddy draining all the starch from the rice.

offline mohamed from the turtle business on 2017-01-22 14:04 [#02510875]
Points: 31145 Status: Regular | Show recordbag

i got 1640 grams the last time, always from the same 700,
nearly the 1750 quantity freqy predicted. cooking the double
of time (24 mins instead of 12), washing all the starch away
at the moment of draining.

im afraid im going to need an MS Excel chart wizard chart
diagramming ["she's pooping way less" (Y-axis) vs. "daddy
draining all the starch from the rice" (X-axis)] before i
can take this thread seriously. thanks

i would still choose wasps, if your having a beer or a nice
lemonade in a pub garde on a summers day your guaranteed
that one of the bastards will come along and ruin your day

shes back to the fluid poop, because shes back to eat poop
in the last dayz. she does it with instinct, so its often a
waste of time to keep her away from this 99% of the time,
and the second you turn your head shes already chewing it.

news is that ive seen other dog keepers scolding their dogs
for this at the park we go, i even had a quick talk with one
of those, he confirmed me its human poop the only poop they
eat, and that its delicatessen for them.

probably some roma taking the park for a toilette.

which is, but.. for dogs.

you could like sprinkle some hot chilli on the turds you see
and when she goes to eat one she has a bad reaction to it,
and she will make that pavlovs connection that eating poo is
bad
