i've read "the psychopath test." i bought it because of his youtube pitch for the book. he's a dead ringer for john lennon and fun to listen to. i got the book, and he's a thorough researcher. charming writer... but it's very shallow. he doesn't go deep and technical, like, ever... "the psychopath test" is about two pages of wikipedia's better-written entries. i'm not sure i have much faith in him as a futurist. i am confident that he has a knack for spotting a clever angle. the clever angle gets youtube views and the youtube views sell his books. which are charming. but shallow. i haven't heard/read his trump thing but i figure it's 10% truth bullets and 90% schmooze |

i was thinking: i've just gone and reviewed jon ronson. not just his books, but the set of all his books, including some or all of the unwritten ones. is there a columnist career in that sort of thing? or perhaps i could review the people that review albums for nme and sell it to vice magazine |
