Which album..

Have you found really difficult to get into? Especially
listening to to this kind of music its not as instant as
most others and can take quite a while to get into.

It took me months to get into DJ Shadow's What Does.. tracks

I got into Aphex's SAW1 quite fast but it wasn't for a while
that I actually saw the real beauty in it.

Radiohead's Kid A I thought was boring dross, which some
still do think (!) but the opening track is just amazing,
the way the vocals come in sounds so good.

It took a while for me to get into Kid A (with the exception
of how to disappear completely), but once I did, I loved it.

I find challenging albums much more satisfying, it sounds so
much better when you finally get into it.

Then again, I haven't heard much Autechre yet so apparently
I don't know the meaning of challenging!

I bought Confield shortly after it was released and I'm
still trying to get into it. The number of people who like
it here are keeping me going ...

When I was rather new to Aphex I found the second CD of SAW2
a little hard to get into at first. And most Autechre Ive
heard (Amber and Ep5)

Future Sound Of London's Dead Cities took me a while (maybe
strange?). I heard a live ISDN session of FSOL and it was
really crazy, so when i actually bought the album it wasn't
much like the memory i had of the concert. But after quite a
few listening sessions i luckyly discovered the endless
beauty of it!
(gee, i shouldn't type such long messages...)

Disco Volante from Mr. Bungle wasn't easy too...

Musick To Play In The Dark vol.2 by Coil took me several
months.

OK Computer by Radiohead too (Kid A was easier for me,
except Motion Picture Soundtrack)

there are lots of albums that need several listens to be
appreciated, and it's not the same for everyone - a
"difficult" music for someone could very well be "easy" for
someone else...
