remain in light is in my top 5 album list and it's all about the first three tracks. side one is like the most intense kung fu movie ever made. it sounds like NOTHING made before or since. thank you cocaine-fueled 80s. |

yeah fela kuti was a big influence on byrne when recording, but brian eno is the star of this imo. the album is a "studio construction", it's impossible to play it live like on the album. eno used samples/loops and black magic on this i think. |
