It's one of the best (probably the best) sonic moments of my
life. It was amazing. I dunno if having had surgery and
drunk far too much had much to do with it, but my goodness
are they unique. No act like them. Top of their game. Wow.
Can't stop thinking about it, and it's been a few days now.

How the devil are you man? Miss ya, and really hope you're
doing well. Glad the radio work is going well!

i think i said last time they can both be pretty hard to
understand, but they understand each other well because they
both speak the language of (electronic) music

lol. well, apparently they have some digital to analogue
converter. to make it sound beter, i assume. also they still
mostly use max/msp, which you could describe as a pretty
moody, in that it can give unexpected bugs during live
sessions. that makes it more of an interesting challenge
though.

also they totally get what skrillex is going for, though it
might not be their cup of tea. and his sound design is
better than a lot of techno producers

also during live performances they just put on a cd while
browsing xltronic on their smart phone

freqy is their favorite poster and they don't really get
wavephace's humor

that idm guys can be dismissive about edm, like skrillex,
but that they're wrong

Not that they're wrong, per se. Just that, it makes sense to
them (increasing the mid range on tracks like that), that it
would have such an appeal to younger people, cos it sounds
very rock 'n roll. They don't listen to it personally but
they respect it. Generally they were talking about how
knowledge of techno music in America is a relatively new
thing (wikpedia knowledge as he says). Their audience is
made up of the older guys who have grown up with them, and
the younger kids woh are now checking them out, due to ae
being considered part of techno history.

They also talk about how some of the newer venues they play
in have some really awesome sound systems, however they're
not very good for hearing yourself play on stage.

Kept waiting for the bit where they mention freqy lol

freqy is the nicest poster imaginable (frustratingly so). So
imagine that here!

Are bootlegs around? I'll have to see if ssx still runs on
my computer. Towards the end there was a segment with what I
can only describe as deep chord stabs (some that last, so
they're not really that stabby in as such they lasted a bit
longer than a stab would, but begin very percussively), in
between intricate work. Astoundingly pleasant. The chords
were really loud and in your face, In fact 'exhilarating'
describes how I felt better than 'pleasant'. It was more
than just pleasing. It was like the best take on Leterel
imaginable. RD heaven.

I just regret being being so out of it after the show. I
hung out with some really nice people and it's just a bit of
a haze. I was struggling, but didn't realize it at the time.
Im not sure how I managed. I hope me struggling to appear
normal didn't come across the wrong way. I'm bound to have
talked some rubbish! That's life I guess

Don't miss out on this tour if they're playing near you.
Bring people who don't know what to expect.

Gotta mention Andy Maddocks and Russell Haswell. The former
played nothing but awesome tracks including a lot of rare or
unreleased stuff (and versions) while the latter dished out
what I dare say was just lush sound after sound, ricochets,
streams and palettes. ( can't rem for sure but he DJd at
times too I think. He was experimental but not harsh.

The opening acts worked really well with the main event. I
thought it all flowed really wonderfully.

The crowd loved the evening. Not just men, and
chin-strokers, was nice to see women there too. You couldn't
define the people as a genre. Aww what a night.
