What they've been doing to treat c. difficile is . They take poop from a healthy person and put it in the sick person. (This is actually the primary mission of xltronic, except we take poop from sick people and transplant it into healthy ones) IMO isolating the compounds from healthy gut flora will lead to faster resistance from harmful flora, and is probably only being undertaken in order to patent the compounds. |
