if i had to guess, i'd say that depends on whether they did
a good job engineering the floaty mechanism. if they didn't
(gimmick) it'll bounce around when granny farts and scratch
up your luke viberts and then when you try to calibrate it
the magnets go native and the platter magnetically launches
itself into your forehead. for the third time. if they did
(useful) it will "just work" with the exception that you
can't scratch on it

2016 levitating turntables, you have to admit it sounds
futuristic, just dont let you cat get near it or it might
get squashed between the platter
