Do you still use CD's, Vinyl?
Have you got a Hi-fi, Amp, DAC.
Streamer?

Just interest in what every one is using.
Thinking about buying some new speakers.

i used to have adam sub7+a8 but bees ate those, and i'm back
to my altec lansings. in college, on lsd, i spilled orange
soda on the left one. with a tear in my eye, i said, "i will
remember this stain forever." and i shall.

for headphones, sony mdr-v6. my car has the stock stereo but
it sounds nice.

PC(S/PDIF)--->RX-V373 but only 44kHz available on 5.1
system
PC(HDMI)---->TV(HDMI)--->RX-V373 etc.
Also I have cassette player and I am planning to buy vinyl
player this. This way could listen pure analog sound. Any
recommendations, is it worth to buy vinyl player?

Headphones can be really good. But it is not the same as a
proper hi-fi sound. I am not being an audiophile elitest.
My current amp is from 1984 & cd player is one of the first
phillips with wired audio plugs.

Even really expensive wireless hi-fi equipment seems to
sound better hardwired in the reviews.

I realise it is not pratical for a lot of people to play
music loud nowadays in shared buildings.

Looking into Dali speakers.

mp3 and flac thru various devices.

The last physical media I purchased was Tomorrow's Harvest,
which seems an appropriate place to stop.

headphones. poor me.

between your tracks so they think its on the radio

years eve covered with snow, another time to the celebration
for the city patron saint, to a girl i met on an italian
percussion forum (from the years i was saying people that i
play percussions, but i didn't) , she invited me a couple of
days at her place, i smoked, eaten fish, drinked local wine,
been on a motorboat while there were fireworks on the lagoon

good topic

I still play a lot of formats

tape
cd
wav/mp3
vinyl
minidisc

I have an old pair of wharfdale speakers and an old Marantz
amp. I also have a decent 2.1 logitech set that can blow the
roof off (or should i say floor, we have a floor above us).

My neighbours can be pretty noisy with their tvs/hifis
themselves, so I have no qualms turning the dial up.

I feel lucky with my gf because she is actually very open
minded about some of the stuff that I blast through the
speakers.

It's not like I do it all day/night long - I think I keep a
good balance.

here's a shitty pic of my amp/cd/tape/blu-ray stack - prob not the most heat efficient but that
little nook is just perfect. (this img only seems to display
when I refresh it once)

Cool to hear portnoy. I don't understand what stuff people
have in their houses if no tunes. records/cd/tape/minidiscs.

i used to have an old solid state rotel amplifier it was
really good, now i have some pretty decent pc speakers and
some cheaper sennheiser earphones, they both sound pretty
good to me, i know they arent optimal and are probably not
great for making music with either, but needs must

i used to have massive speakers connected to the rotel amp
it was brill, perhaps if i live in a detached cottage or
something in the future i can get a similar setup

All my CDs have been put to wav. I love my vinyl collection
to bits. Sennheiser M2ie ear buds for walking around, or
bed. I've stopped paying ridiculous money for headphones.
For now.
