Eliminating the Grayzone of coexistence between Muslims and the West

It amazes me how many in the West buy into this and help it
along, by, for example, calling moderate Muslims docile and
lazy - not real Muslims - for not being bloodthirsty enough.
Not living down to one's worst expectations. Take a side,
pick up a knife and decapitate someone, ya bums. I guess
some folks would rather see violence than have their
received opinions challenged. A testament to the power of
cognitive dissonance.

Indeed, seems to be a bit of a media blackout on this but
seems like the US airforce have killed a load of civilians
by airstrike which really doesnt help things

another news that passed a bit in silence is that of the
british operation that was inclusive of civilian casualities
to kill one man because it would have brought more
'advantage' than a possible loss of civilians. i dont know
if its just me, but its the first news of this kind i read
on the internet.

you would think before they dropped bombs they would make
extra sure who they were dropping them on, its a weird
situation. They arent even at war with Syria

Sam Harris: "Arab civilian deaths just show how good
we are and how we really mean well. We wouldn't kill so many
innocent people if we weren't trying to save them from
Bads." [camera zooms in on his leering face] "The last thing
that crossed little Fatima's mind was her asshole, heh heh
heh"

I suppose the argument is that ISIS are really killing far
more civilians than airstrikes, i suppose something needs to
be done about them, its just amazing how cavalier the
Americans are with dropping bombs, surely they have the tech
to do a good analysis before they strike

west and there. work on that point, win fucking isis.

i was driving the other day and i see a big ROAD WORK sign.
ok, i slow down. it's a truck the size of a small house with
some fat fuck on top wielding a hose. he's spraying the
trees on the government lawn with water. it is currently
raining, and minutes later, we got a thunderstorm like i've
never seen before. thank god the government was there to
water the trees, they might have dried up otherwise

offline EpicMegatrax from Greatest Hits on 2016-07-20 20:22 [#02500340]
Points: 24389 Status: Addict

point being, they decide six months ago that today is tree
watering day. or something. they've planned it for months;
changing the day is a logistical nightmare. the guys working
the truck just do what they're told and go out to water
trees in a thunderstorm. this is how government works. if
you average it out over the state or county or whatever i'm
sure most trees get the right amount of water at about the
right time, but you consistantly have these moments where
it's colossally fucking stupid. bureaucracy inaction

now, instead of watering trees, bomb civilians.

Would the same argument fly in France? You can ethically
drone bomb civilian populations as long as you kill fewer
innocents than the terrorists do?

"Docile and lazy", somebody's keen. I think part of "what
Isis wants" is relying on lefty bien pensants exhorting
people to look the other way when it comes to Islamist
violence. Regardless, what are you going to do to counter
Isis's apparent aim? Nothing? Will we defeat Isis by doing
nothing? Will Isis spare you because you pretended Sam
Harris said something he didn't? If we (non-muslims) keep
saying "this is nothing to do with Islam" will, eventually,
all this go away? If youre concerned about young people
being "radicalised" would you back any measures to address
this, or do you just think "unity"? Because, be honest,
doing nothing and hoping for the best is a lot easier than
sticking your neck out and saying or doing anything that
runs the risk of you not getting any "likes"

why would you breastfeed a child with AIDS? why not just
leave the doomed tyke on a mountain path to die of exposure
or be eaten by wolves, just like the romans did? or, if you
mean it the other way, AIDS is no substitute for milk. i'm
not a nutritionist, though...
