i saw the new one two nights ago with my cousin
it contains no jokes at all

it does have cameos and i failed to spot them all
bill murray
dan aykroyd
the black guy
janine

i failed to spot sigourney weaver

bill murray !! wow. how many seconds screen time did bill
and dan get?

offline umbroman3 from United Kingdom on 2016-07-14 19:14 [#02499697]
Points: 6096 Status: Regular

dan's a grumpy cab driver, gets about 30 seconds

grandpa bill murray gets a couple of minutes as a ghost
sceptic before a ghost throws him out of a window

the black guy plays the uncle of the black lady

janine is receptionist in a hotel

wikipedia lists the other cameos

they dont play their original characters or anything

Al Roker as Himself
Pat Kiernan as Himself

dunno who these two are?

Sigourney Weaver as Rebecca Gorin

totally missed that cameo, kicking myself for missing it
she must be totally old now or something

omg how sad

they should have come back as old ghost busters.

it would have been awesome them trying to climb stairs with
a huge proton pack. little kids walking by, helping them
up the steps.
or maybe needing power assisted wheel chairs. or only
taking ajob if their is a functional lift.

age should not have been a barrier. it still could be been
hilarious.

errggg

a bit too early.

with what they are saying, im not going to watch the new
ghostbusters since i have no confidence i will enjoy it, id
just rather spend my time watching the original

I saw the Mark Kermode review, he started going on about
internet trolls and sexism to preface the interview rather
than objectively criticsing it, so i stopped listening to
the review right away cos his critical faculties had been
tainted by all the crap surrounding the film.

Its kind of a race to the bottom with these remakes, i saw
the robocop remake last year and it was like robocop if they
took out any context, satire or charm

yeah i hope they dont feel like the whole concept is tainted
by one poo film
i dont have confidence in them ever doing a good comedy film
again, humour has changed since the 80s, what the kids like
now, find funny is alien to me

thing is we'd never guess by this audience reaction that
they would have wanted the original cast. you can see why
the movie people would have thought it a gamble to use bill
murray. Ddduurrrr.!!! :d
