I read Nikola Tesla did something echo-ish, only with electricity and bouncing it off the other side of the earth or something. The idea is shoot the gun, wait for the echo to come back, re-shoot the gun at the exact time it comes back to re-echo, thus sending a NEW sound that is larger (new gunshot + echo). Wait for that bigger one to echo, repeat, repeat, getting bigger each time. My guess is that it will keep getting bigger but only additive, so if you do it 100 times, 101 times will only be 1% louder than 100 so diminishing returns.

Do they use software or just someones ears?
I wonder when they fire the loud pistol, do they cover their ears at that point so not to go deaf?. lol
or get ringing in their ears.
3 weeks later the guy gets a call
Guinness records officer: hows it going with the test results?....
yeah, i can still hear it.....yeah...
But you are home now, i am calling you on your home land line number..
yeah, er o.k i'll stop the watch now....so that's.. 1 day 3 minutes and 2 seconds. : P
So that's Guinness WORLD records YEAAHHH ( in a kermit the frog cheering way)

i wonder how loud the big bang was, pretty loud, but because it was before the period of re ionisation and matter was so dense and hot i dont think there was a medium for the sound wave to flow through

i would think that if one used a piezoelectric pick up on the matter,at that very moment that thwhich created the universe, one could use that tiny amount of energy produced to perhaps trigger something interesting? Likely not as interesting as the big bang tho. ... har har.
