What do you put on your french fries or (as you call them
in Europe) chips besides the usual ketchup?

around that area. the host bought a large serving of fries
like...buried under inches of mayo! It kinda looks
good..but thats GOTTA be bad for the heart.

Yeah, Belgium massive. I think Belgium is the only country
where they have something as a mcdonalds but exclusively for
chips (french fries). It's called "frietkoten". :) Every
village, no mather how small has at least one 'frietkot'
Wicked!
And I like mayonaise as well as ketchup on them. :)

I only eat McDonalds fries, and I NEVER put ketchup on them.
I just coat them in copious mounds and mounds of artery
plugging salt. They're white by the time I'm done. I always
get salt everywhere when I'm eating that shit.

Fish and chips is amazing, best food in the world.

Ophecks, believe it or not, ketchup is actually very good
for you..the way in which the tomatoes are cooked releases
lots of antioxidants or something..

Has anyone ever had any of Heinz's Green Tomatoe Ketchup?
Its strange looking when its poured all over fries, but the
taste is the same as the red sauce.

Ick, I don't care if ketchup is good for me or not... I'm
not concerned about my diet, I have a very bad one! :-) I
just hate the taste of ketchup. And anytime I see someone
eating that green ketchup... blech, I feel like I'm going to
projectile vomit...

Maybe its time to throw out that 20 year old vinegar that
you have in the cupboard Jonesy, and treat yourself to a
newer bottle!

;)

since being here in Amsterdam you realize how fucked and
unhealthy chips are in England.
i've heard chipshops in Engl;and dont allow the fat to heat
up enough so thats why you get floppy soggy chips

There's a fish and chips shop in Halifax by my cousins
house, I shake and get tense when I think about it. It's
THAT good. I can't wait to go up there this summer. I'd go
there for breakfast, dinner and supper.

*drool

I don't go to chip shops anymore, the chips tend to be too
greasy....too much fat! Although I do occassionally have
fries from KFC or Burger King when I go into town..
