3d in theaters is a desperate tactic to offer something
exclusive to continue selling movie tickets, instead of
having people "pirate" the movie for free, because having
large numbers of people in a dark room is an easy way to set
up false flag batman shooters. It's similar to "deleted
scenes" which are intentionally created just to be deleted
in order to give people "bonus material" exclusive to buying
the dvd. I just pirated "cloud atlas", it was total shit
just like almost all movies. Tom Spanks doing this, fast
forward, Tom Spanks doing that for like 4 enduring hours.
All these wealthy actor idiots jobs will become as obsolete
as everyone elses. But their wealth will go to their heirs,
who will become decadent little assholes fucking with your
poor heirs who will probably just inherit your funeral costs
and not much else. After lots of searching I realized that
the vast majority of movies are total shit and documentaries
are superior. There was this one meerkat documentary that
was completely epic compared to any movie and it was based
in reality not some fart ass fiction. It is however
basically voyeurism to peep on all these animals.

I just saw it and I have t say, as a wet brained old fool, I
cried about 10 times. I went with my son (11) and I am
saddened to admit, he didn't seem to give one solitary shit
about it.

Or maybe I should be proud, I don't know anymore.
Everything's upside down these days. I'll go see it on my
own again.

Had a good time. Don't feel like moaning.
Definitely made thinking of those nostalgic fans who had a
hard time with the prequels.
Loved Sylo Ren (Ben).
Humour was more on par with the old ones. Not too much CGI.
Not perfect but really fun. Like Dan I was teary eyed a few
times, wether the friend I went with who knows little about
Star Wars gave little of a fuck.
I thought Luke looked alright, surprisingly.

Also I liked the fact at no point you see the Disney logo.

I am lucky enough to be going to go see it in 4 dimensions

x, y, z axis's and also the axis of t (time).

Hopefully it will be better on a second viewing, now
expectations hath been subverted.

I was quite relaxed before walking into the cinema as I was
sure JarJar or Hayden would not be there on the screen =
nothing worse than eps I-III could happen anymore.

It was great to see "long time ago in a galaxy far far away"
for the first time since I saw it back when I went to see
ROTJ in the cinema and was scared shitless when Jabba's
pig-like guards appeared.

I can't remember now which scenes were more tear-inducing or
smile/laugh-inducing [in a good way] - I guess that needs a
dvd/bluray re-watch later to tell. Han Solo is my fav
character and it was moving to see him back. And he did
well. Scenes with Leia were well written imo and well played
by those sweet old chaps. And Chewie appeared as that good
old softie again.

The "young generation" characters/actors I was the most
sceptic about were IMO surprisingly decent. Ray especially.
Young girl facing the force etc. ? The actress did well I
think. Better than Ms Portman in the prequels, for sure.

As a SW reboot this New Hope remake could be a good start of
something fresh and enough to make me wait for Ep VIII. If
Uwe Boll won't direct it it should be at least alright.

Do you remember a while ago Harrison Ford crashed his plane?
he was always my favorite hero from my childhood and the
fact that he had real life skills to land that plane gave me
a warm feeling

spoilers

i already commented, but now read the thread

i couldn't help being quite happy, relatively, with Han's
demise, it would have quite the disservice to the story if
that didn't happen. also, sorry, i don't think he and leila
were the best of actors. sylo, on the other hand, i liked a
lot. (also a lot of troopers die: one has to have a job,
right.)
that's it, pretty much. like the guy that showed up in the
end. the girl was pretty awesome and i was moved when they
said 'may the force be with you' to her.
also i wasn't kidding about the robots. they were funnier
then some of the jokes.
oh, the black storm trooper dude can carry his role well,
too (sorry i don't know any names: i'm a trekkie)

fair

I was thinking before that JJ abrams could have filmed a
close up of his arse defecating for 2 and a half hours to
the imperial march and it would have been less of a
disappointment than the phantom menace,

i wonder where jabba is now?

imagine walking up to the image you just posted.

they should have made a star wars museum.

with full size falcon and xwings at the entrance .

inside is the death star corridors. and the sounds of the
death star.

a actual speederbike ride racing with an ewok.

and hoth world, with AT ATs in the distance to some magic
perspective so it looks like they are huge......or even make
a full size one you can climb up and blow up.

with R2 serving drinks..
:P

yeah , 70's but in another world far far away. : )

one day a computer will scan all of star wars, all the music
and the characters all the pictures and make 5 more
trilogies between star wars and empire.

all voices, 3d models, perfect with expressions. and stories
are created by scanning public forums to see what people
thought should happen and what should not have
happen...taking notes only from those that like the original
triolgy. and we will be in str wars heaven the same feel as
the trilogy, with original cast. : )

anyway, even then nothing really matters or is necessary, if

"During the shot in which Salacius Crumb (the small,
annoying, rat-like thing that sits with Jabba in his palace)
is chewing off C-3P0's eye, Anthony Daniels had a panic
attack while in the C-3P0 suit. While filming, he didn't
actually say his lines (all his lines were dubbed in
post-production anyway), but repeated "Get me up. Get me
