I was rapping over them:

I'll bring the hotdog, you bring the buns
Let's hope today that you don't have the runs
lets have a party, in the place where you farty
When I wear you like a mask, it makes me oh so hardy
Warm little buns fresh outta the oven
Let me put the butter on with lots and lots of lovin

I actually listened to the songs twice, kind of like when
dog belch listened to my idm fart twice, with both ears both
times, so 4 times actually. He just couldn't get enough.
Well I like the random yet not random note placement and
sound nuances that don't bring to mind, say, modplug tracker
with its fine gm.dls sound palette, it would take quite a
bit of alchemy to create such sound with applause,
helicopter and cowbell. Bandcamp is a pretty embarrassing
site to have music, just another centralized leach, and its
name is lame, "I'm going to band camp this summer mom, we'll
learn how to play real kazoos!". The songs remind me of a
desert landscape, like enchanting but probably full of
scorpions and sidewinders and maybe those sand people from
star wars.

Still - cute review, gracias. Especially when you mentioned
dog belch: I'm a fan of Grinning Ape and still waiting for
some new stuff from that great band [!]

I record melodies, place them in patterns. I prepare a few
patterns/channels then e.g. assign them to different
channels in my daw - all of those then triggered with my
nanokontrol. in various combinations, which has that random
feel, yeah, and seems more spontaneous and vivid than
placing blocks. then I record the final version live and
then throw away the project file. no regrets, no looking
back. NEXT TRACK.

I chose bandcamp as one of those internet places where I can
archive my stuff. I archive photographs I want to keep and
think are interesting on deviantart [where are also find
wallpapers for my desktop], I archive my tunes on box [and
throw them to hell after a few yonks when I find them too
cheesy or unlistenable] and stuff I like most from others on
mega. That's cause I don't trust hard drives. And in case
I'll find myself on the other part of the globe tomorrow - I
can quite easily access the stuff I need/like. Viva
internets. That's me.

Ok, bumped the thread a bit....next review PLEASE....

Sundercliff Bobrjar is the stand out piece, for me.

Splendid.

thanks. and why, can you elaborate on that ?

bobrjar is mostly that bass sequence tapped on freshly
bought nanopad - and it carries the whole track
somehow....which dissolves ~half way

I think I generally lost years of music making without
asking "what do you think ?" to enrich the process. It's
always what I want it to be either it's more lo-fi or hi-fi
but listening to what other humans hear in your recordings
and telling you - is another kind of pleasure, different
perspective. I recently discovered that - and that I miss
that. No redbull.

Dunno how to justify it really, but I suppose that marching
beat with an ultrasound-like heartbeat sound keeps it tight,
which compliments well with the main kind of stuttered
sequence. Everything else gives it a warmth that makes it
balance nicely between light and dark.
