KICK_START

hello xlt! i'm doing a kickstarter for a noise widget of my
own design. not only is it a lovely device, but i'd vastly
appreciate your support. i want to do something more
significant with my life than fix some bulgarian guy's buggy
PHP code.

thanks!

Ahaha... Finally got around to watching to promo vid. Nice
one! It's good.

I feel you will one day get this funded. And man, you have
a lot of washers.....

Some thoughts: Perhaps the paint job could be worked on in
the future. I dunno where that decepticon looking speaker
cover is from, but it's nice. The red and the red accent on
the other side are nice. But maybe the speaker cover part
(part under the main red cover) could be painted a different
color (white, or grey to match the other side, etc.), which
would tighten the whole thing up. Maybe sand the main cover
to get it smooth before priming and spraying. Also, maybe
in the demo show what the knobs do. Does one of them enable
lowering of tone? Cuz that'd be cool.

Anyway, good luck with all this! Great to see people
building their own shit.

you basically just covered everything i covered in the
extended demo vid (what do the things do and how far do they
do it) and the single "frequency asked questone" (re: what
will the final thing actually look like)

if it doesn't work i don't really have time to do it again.
i'm tired, i have to move soonish, etc. so i'd appreciate
support now thx

I'd support it if I could! Sorry, mang. I missed the other
vid and info due to being on mobile...

But personally, to push me over the edge in really wanting
something like this, I would want some sort of bpm
control... Which doesn't really make sense in its current
incarnation, but maybe like an optional donk on each beat or
something, which would turn it into a freeform acid line
fucker. The optical hand fuckery option on the MC-505 used
to be surprisingly useful, especially for coming up with
interesting melodies. Or maybe a midi input would be cool,
which would essentially turn it into a synth with hand wave
tech.

I'm interested in sound experimentation, but I haven't been
too into "random kinda shiz" for more than 10 years.

I finally fixed up my guitar recently and bought an audio
device years after selling off my studio, so I am just
getting back to fundamentals. Am planning guitar mods and
other shit that is internal-fx related, so there's that...
