inevitably with political discussion someone drops the
profound "it's all the same," or "it doesn't make a
difference," or "it's all fixed."

if that's true, then that's the attitude "they" want you to
have.

take a break from house of cards and check out some real

No- "they" want you to believe it's not fixed, to grant the
people with the illusion of power. People need to feel in
control, so they don't rebel.
