Wilhelm Marr had two Jewish wives. A bit if a weirdo. He really hated the Hitler types. He called them the "business of anti-semitism". He also hated the Kaiser. He seemed to have respect for Bismarck. He's said to be the founder of anti-semitism. His "anti-semitism" is a bit different than other types of anti-semitism. Not sure how to describe. He was accused of being Jewish by many Jew haters. Anyway the book's title is almost prophetic, look the Germans got their arses kicked in WWI & WWI. Wilhelm Marr predicted that and was correct. What was disturbing is what Wilhelm Marr said about Russia. It came true 100 years ago. Looking at today's sitation with Russia, and looking back at this old book, well what do you know? There's a war on the way. We (Christians, former Christians, people who have Christian relatives) are all about to be exterminated. Jews & Muslims are for it too. What can we do? moshe zimmerman wrote a biography of wilhelm marr pretty good, respect due to moshe zimmerman must have been difficult for a man to write a biography of someone who spent his whole life criticising his religion and way of life in the back of the book it has a few letters and articles by marr the biography itself, yeah, it lights up german history lasalle, bismarck, the kaiser(and the other kaisers), stoecker, 1848 revolution, 1870 german nationstate there's a lot of little details in there, a few paragraphs might be boring then suddenly there will be a name drop of a person or old newspaper or journal that's good for research |
