I've been a hot-headed ass in this thread and I genuinely apoligise, in particular to debaser and XLT's mohammed. I guess it's hard to criticise something BIG and highly inflammable without upsetting blameless indiviuduals, something I really don't want to do. I hope the extremists burn themselves out, that they cause such repulsion across the board that they are rejected and no longer supported or able to operate. I guess we have to do what we are able to accomplish ourselves, in our own environment. Do what we can to counter unreason, be kind, and be understanding. And please, try not to set fire to each other. |

They seem not to listen to or read any of the western world "bullshit". Remember Fahrenheit 451 ? That's what will happen to the world today. The western world is used to endlessly babbling about things. Sometimes it's shocking how much we're steered by media constantly jumping from topic to topic. While recently watching Nightcrawler I thought about those things - how media-driven society "we" are. "We at xltronic" - people from "democratic" and "civilised" countries. So educated, so advanced. And yet, with all our laws, regulations, UN, NATO, EU etc. we seem helpless when some tyrants like Putin appear. Who sends troops and pretends nothing happened. Sorry to any US citizens here, but all I can hear Obama and the rest of the *good* guys - his european buddies - say is "terrorism must be stopped. something must be done" *applause*. Peace Noble price ! WOW ! While in the meantime those islamic bad guys reply "stop my ass" and videotape cutting another throat. That's my "average citizen" view of things. In a pill. This is all ridiculous. Maybe agent Smith from Matrix was right: humans are a disease, a virus killing this planet. They will most likely burn themselves in the name of abstract ideas. |
