good but hard question cuz i dont know wat will make u think of those ladys and at the same time theres so many styles of new age (and some ppl might not agree w/my definition lol so im just gonna say some from labels no 1 will say isnt new age
warren bennett - a time to remember
this is a cool trak i got in2 lately by warren bennett, b4 he made new age music he wrote library music for bruton and music house. i like that song cuz i like the chords and the other instruments go thru alot of phases and melodys, like the flute part and near the end theres a cool funky synth which is weird in such a slow song
richard souther - nightseasons
thats 1 of my alltime fav new age songs, the arp and synths are like something from tangerine dream but they sound really nice n soft and friendly and it make u feel really comforted. but its not all major chords it has a dark shadowyness imo which is the best

tim story - to his grand sea
tim story imo is 1 of the most under rated artists ever imo and its ALL cuz of his "new age" label. hes super similar 2 harold budd for example cuz they both used alot of piano and electronic music but harold budd is COOL and tim story isnt cuz he put out albums on windham hill.
david and steve gordon - still waters
this trak is a frikin REVELATION, if i just tell u its piano and synth and forest sound effects u will not listen to it cuz ppl have that pre concieved notion about what that music + nature sounds stuff is about. but when i heard this i was like WOW i didnt expect it would be like that, like i said before some new age music gave ppl the impression is all major scale stuff with no TENSION but thats just false even in the nature sound stuff. this is like taylor deupree/chihei hatakeyama type ambient music but made way back in the 80s

I'm not drawn to new age because it is too free. Free of a stylized aesthetic. Style being an ego accessory that I am conditioned to despite my criticisms of such things
