Okay everyone, here's an idea. Now that avatars are a thing again, make the most creative avatar you can and submit your creation to the Monthly Avatar Contest™ by posting something like "[sign me up]" in this thread. You've got the whole month of February to create your avatar, so no rush. At the end of the month, whatever avatar you're using will be considered your submission, and then we'll all vote on a winner. You don't have to join the contest to take part in the voting, but I hope you will! Whoever the community decides is the champion will receive 1 month of premium membership to Zilty courtesy of me, provided Phobia will let me donate for the contest winner and provided premium membership is actually still a thing. I have no idea if it is. But let's worry about that later. If you need help with free tools to create your avatar, please check out for image editing and for assembling animated gifs. There may be better free apps out there; please feel free to recommend any that you use. The site requirements for avatars can be found by clicking the "Edit your account" link on the left. There is only one rule for the contest: You must create your own avatar. No recycling avatars from the ghost of Zilty past (unless it's one you made). Have fun with it. :) On your mark, get set, go! |

I know you're just being your usual trolly self, but that's actually a fair point. I'm changing the rules. Everyone gets 40kb size limit, and if you can't actually upload an avatar that size on XLT, then just put it on imgur or whatever other host you like, and then link it in the thread as your submission. Winner can (theoretically) choose premium membership and then be able to use their avatar after they win. |

I'm never sure if you're trolling anymore, but by "directly" I meant something like e-mail rather than making a thread titled "Phobz" on this site and turning to dust as I wait for him to never respond to it. It makes no difference anyway, the idea went tits up as I assumed it would. Hardly anyone participated, and I wanted the community to vote and decide who they thought was the winner because it's pointless if I'm the one who judges them. Might as well just send someone a tenner and never even hold the contest. Ah well, c'est la v2. |
