yeah thats ok. this book is very good. particularly interesting is the chapter about how the grand mufti haj amin al husseini of palestine was deeply connected with the nazis. hassan al banna of the muslim brotherhood also. this book manages to connect those events to what he believes are distortions in islamic thinking (rather than islam itself). he also attempts to explain some of the modern western thinking on the left and liberal side |

Yeah I've not read his books but I definitely agree with him re similarities between islamic extremism and fascism etc. I think I've seen him talking about the trend in, um, Respect-voter-types I guess, to automatically empathise with any cause that's anti-Western or anti-US, be it Milosevic or Saddam or Iran or Hamas. More people need to highlight that dumb shit imo |
