I think Aphex formed a whole load of drukQs based on the synth work in this track:
DJ Pierre
He remixed it and made this wan: rmx
That one is basically a prototype cock/ver10 to my ears: cock
Thoughts?

DJ Pierre was a big influence for a lot of electronic musicians. That's pretty much a given.
What do you mean by "formed"?

not hearing it mate. even switching back and forth it's tricky even telling that mix - one of my faves and a pure banger tho track 1 still gives it giveaway afx bottysmack - was much to do with box energy or not. like yr man there sez...
dj pierre wasn't exactly something he'd undig and have zero understand. lot of that afx era has maybe adopted certain elements altho much adapted. you give a fuck for every sampleting? naaaaaaaaah bruv
I think the cock ver 10 vs any boxup nrg version is as simple as stylistically similar tracks made around the same time. and i like idm conspiracy theory! what the sickpickles happened to MEN records anyway?

Phuture - acid tracks was the first acid record. http://www.discogs.com/Phuture-Acid-Tracks/release/1949 Richard was evenly influence by people like A Guy called gerald. He was in the first real uk acid band 808 state http://www.discogs.com/artist/318-808-State . As much as the US artists like Larry Heard & DJ Pierre. Richard is a gatekeeper & historian of Jungle/acid as much as he is an influencer. 808/Stakker/Humanoid Re-Released on rephlex stand testment to his beliefs.
Where's as Luke vibert chooses to do retro sets with the ragga twins. Respect Mr.V. I doff my cap to your latest AA http://www.discogs.com/Amen-Andrews-News-Of-The-World/relea Foot long slab of flat pressed black ;) se/6288409

By formed I mean that he was listening to a lot of acid of that calibre, and with that track as a particularly strong reference took heavy inspiration for the atonal acid lines that are riddled all over drukQs. Y'know, parts like 2:18 in 54 CymruBeats, or most of the leads in Mt St Michel. Not saying it was ripped off, because it's so thoroughly explored and developed, just saying I feel like I hear a common thread through those pieces
