are u pro or con aphex twin winning a grammy award for his 2014 album "syro" and do u think he will win. if he wins i hope he acepts the award and doesnt try 2 make a big deal about hating grammys. hes like 50 years old thats way 2 old for that |

i hope he wins but i dont think he will, the grammys always give the grammy 2 the artist not deserving it. last year they gave the new age grammy to some tinkle twinkle piano player instead of kitaro which is wack, i bet deadmau6 will get it |

It's strange and awkward, for a number of different reasons. Not the least of which is the irony of finally being nominated for a Grammy after all these years basically only because other people who are relatively horrible at doing the same thing, have become popular. They only nominated him as a gesture since he decided to finally release an album. If syro came out 10 years ago and sounded the same, he would not have been nominated because techno wasn't all cool and trendy and hipstered out like it is today, and chances are the same ppl responsible for nominating him didn't respect him at all and gave no shit whatsoever, they were into Coldplay and pendulum just like everyone is into skrillex and aphex today. |

If he gets a grammy it will be for the album, but considering his whole 'oeuvre' it would be deserved. For the confused and the haters: it's just a bit of fun. No one here seriously gives a fuck. I'd find it great if he got it. I doubt he will. |
